About ERRIN
The European Return and Reintegration Network is an initiative of 16 European states that helps to ensure that people on the move can return home in a dignified and humane manner. ERRIN is working with local organisations on the ground in 40 countries, offering comprehensive assistance for returning migrants. Following the initial aid provided right upon arrival, the reintegration support may involve support for housing, medical treatment, vocational training and educational needs, or setting up a business.
About Caritas and Idia Renaissance
In Nigeria, we work with Caritas and their local partner, Idia Renaissance. Idia Renaissance was established in 1999 to respond to the problem of human trafficking and officially registered in 2003. Idia Renaissance is now addressing a wide range of social, health and economic challenges. With activities centered on research,
advocacy, education, empowerment and training, Idia Renaissance works mainly with children, young people, women and vulnerable groups. Caritas International Belgium (CIB) is a non-governmental organisation and works in close cooperation with Idia Renaissance to provide assistance to returnees from the different ERRIN partner countries. CIB has been implementing the national government programme in the field of voluntary return worldwide since 2007.
