About ERRIN

The European Return and Reintegration Network is an initiative of 16 European states that helps to ensure that people on the move can return home in a dignified and humane manner. ERRIN is working with local organisations on the ground in 40 countries, offering comprehensive assistance for returning migrants. Following the initial aid provided right upon arrival, the reintegration support may involve support for housing, medical treatment, vocational training and educational needs, or setting up a business.

In Morocco, we work with Caritas and their local partner, Fondation Orient-Occident, as well as with the French Office for Immigration and Integration.

About Caritas and Fondation Orient-Occident

Fondation Occident-Orient (FOO) was established in 1994. Its primary activities revolve around work with young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods and promoting employability by setting up training structures. Due to the ever changing migration landscape in Morocco, the foundation has expanded its expertise to the field of migration, too. Caritas International Belgium is a non-governmental organisation and works in close cooperation with FOO to provide assistance to returnees from the different ERRIN partner countries. CIB has been implementing the national government programme in the field of voluntary return worldwide since 2007.

About the French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII) — Voluntary Returns only

OFII is the French Migration Agency. Part of their work is assisting voluntary returnees from France to come back to their countries of origin. OFII has offices in several countries, with Morocco among them, which take care of people after their return. Within the framework of ERRIN, OFII assists returnees from other European countries as well.
