The European Return and Reintegration Network is an initiative of 16 European states that helps to ensure that people on the move can return home in a dignified and humane manner. ERRIN is working with local organisations on the ground in 40 countries, offering comprehensive assistance for returning migrants. Following the initial aid provided right upon arrival, the reintegration support may involve support for housing, medical treatment, vocational training and educational needs, or setting up a business.
Established in 1962, Caritas India specialises in emergency response and recovery, community development, reconstruction and natural resource management. All projects are implemented in solidarity with the community. Caritas India works for the most vulnerable groups towards dignified lives and inclusive sustainable development. Since the late 1990s, Caritas India has been working on the issues related to safe migration and human trafficking. Caritas International Belgium (CIB) is a non-governmental organisation and works in close cooperation with Caritas India to provide assistance to returnees from the different ERRIN partner countries. CIB has been implementing the national government programme in the field of voluntary return worldwide since 2007.
