Burkina Faso

Nationals of Burkina Faso  who wish or have to return from an ERRIN partner country* may be eligible to benefit from the ERRIN programme. The European Reintegration Support Organisations (ERSO) and the French Office of Immigration and Integration (OFII) are the service partner networks contracted to assist returnees under ERRIN with the first steps of their reintegration in Burkina Faso.

  • ERSO is a network of non-governmental organisations involved in return counselling and reintegration support. The objective of ERSO is to exchange information, collect expertise and develop best practices in the field of return and reintegration. On the ground, respective associates of Caritas International Belgium (CIB), a member of ERSO, are the implementing partners. In Burkina Faso, OCADES Caritas Burkina is there to support ERRIN returnees. Caritas International has worked with OCADES Caritas Burkina since 2009 to accompany Burkinabe returnees from Belgium. The organisation also has experience in assisting returnees from many other European countries, acquired within the framework of the ERSO network.
  • OFII is the French Migration Agency. Part of their work is assisting voluntary returnees from France to come back to their countries of origin. Within the framework of ERRIN, OFII assists returnees from other European countries as well. OFII has regional offices in several countries, which take care of people after their return.

*Currently Germany and Finland use ERRIN ERSO and OFII contracts (this list may be subject to change).
